Who are Members of CSI? And How Can I Join?


Members of CSI include architects, engineers, interior designers, builders, material manufactures, dealers, representatives and others involved in the construction industry such as students, attorneys and insurance agents. Most members belong to a local chapter that is situated convenient to the members’ home or place of work.

One of the purposes of CSI is to work with its members to improve the clarity, organization and efficiency in construction through professional development and the power of common language.

Professional Membership is awarded to those involved with design.
Industry Membership is awarded to builders, contractors, and material suppliers
Associate Membership is awarded to others involved in the construction industry.

Membership is awarded to individuals only. Membership for organizations or firms is not available.

The dues for membership vary with the chapters. The Charlotte CSI Chapter has the following dues structure:

Professional/ Industry/ Associate Members $220 $125 $345
Intermediate Members $125 $125 $250
Retired Members N/A $25 $25
Student Members $27 $10 $37
Chapter dues include cost of meals at all Nine (9) regular chapter meetings and the Annual Christmas Party.
All National and Chapter dues are paid directly to National.
