I hope everyone has had a great summer and are looking forward to the new CSI year.

Your board has been hard at work planning and organizing for a great year.

CSI Institute has made GreenFormat and BIM their focus this year so we are striving to make this an emphasis for us.  We are also putting a great deal of effort to grow our organization.  Leslie Schlesinger is leading an outreach by starting an Emerging Professional Group to bring together young people in our industry and get involved in CSI.  Kris Benton is looking forward to a great year with the student affiliate and it looks like their momentum is continuing to grow like never before.

CSI has always been a great place to network with others in our industry but we should never forget that our mission is to educate, improve quality and bring order to the design and construction process.  Our development of SpecFormat has become the industry standard and with the need for sustainable construction, it is exciting that we can be on the ground floor with the development of GreenFormat.

If you want to get involved in leadership within CSI, there is a place for you.  Contact me or any one of your board members.  We will find that spot for you.

So, spread the word - CSI is the place to advance professionally and a place to grow friendships that will last a lifetime.
